Spring Equinox Portal 2023

We hope that you can join us on 3/19 for another wonderful healing event as we celebrate the Spring Equinox. This date marks the end of astronomical Winter and the beginning of astronomical Spring. The word equinox comes from the Latin words for “equal night”—aequus (equal) and nox (night). Day and night are nearly equal on the equinox, bringing us a sense of balance that has been much needed after a season of long and introspective nights. The Earth is reawakening to her own power again after allowing Herself time of much needed rest within the Yin energy of Winter. The birds are chirping and singing, the leaves of the trees are growing, and the whispering wind becomes more alive.

The dark months are coming to an end and we are moving into the lighter months of the year; we move out of a more introspective space and take our gifts out into the world as we move into more outward connection with others and the world around us. We allowed ourselves to shed during the winter months, welcoming in death to outdated stories and patterns and making space for more renewed energy in the spring.

We are being given the opportunity to embrace change and newness around the Equinox. This time allows us to find birth and renewal in our life; a rebirth and a welcoming of a newer version of ourselves, a birth of new dreams, a birth of new intentions, and an opening of the eyes with a fresh perspective. The soil is fertile at this time; which seeds will you plant?

Cacao has been used in ceremonies by many ancient tribes long before we learned how to produce chocolate. People utilize cacao to delve deeper into themselves, as it is also used for its health benefits to nourish our physical and energetic bodies. In this ceremony we will enjoy cacao from Guatemala/Colombia. Cacao contains the psychoactive ingredient theobromine, which, as a mild stimulant, increases blood flow

The Cacao Ceremony led by Narda will be followed by our Breathwork Alchemy Experience, where we will transform thought into sensation by shifting our awareness from the mind to the body through an active breath meditation. After turning the body ON and moving stagnant energy, we will then invite you to slide into a state of relaxation as you receive healing sound frequencies and Reiki energy medicine. Breathwork is not recommended for those with epilepsy. If you have diabetes, please bring a snack or juice in case you experience a drop in blood sugar! 

This ancient eastern practice of Pranayama consists of a two-part staccato breath. The practice of breath work turns off the mind and turns the body on, opening us up to experiencing a wide variety of sensations. We are oxygenating blood and stimulating the hypothalamus gland, which releases endorphins, thus activating the ductless glands. This experience helps us to move stagnant energy through the body, leaving us feeling energized and lighter.

Reiki energy medicine is an ancient Japanese healing modality (that has been traced back to many different spiritual leaders throughout time) refers to working with the universal, spiritually-guided life force energy that flows through all living beings, promoting healing and relaxation on the emotional, physical, and spiritual level by supporting and balancing the body’s own innate healing energies. Healers work with this divine energy as they assess, balance, and perform shamanic clearing of the chakras.

Sound healing utilizes specialized sonic frequencies to improve your wellbeing, as it provides a therapeutic space to promote a rebalance of your nervous system, emotional release, mental clarity, inner peace, and deep rest. As you are closest to spirit after breathing, sound healing acts as a supportive and necessary compliment to your integration for the Breathwork experience.

Following, we will move into a journey of ecstatic dance, which is a Freeform Conscious Dance. We encourage no shoes, no talking, no phone usage, no drugs or alcohol during this event! Consent is extremely important to us, and we will not tolerate any non-consensual behavior.

This event is designed to support your process of rebirth, renewal, inspiration, and co-creation of a new vision. Ticket energy exchange will include:

• Clearing of your Auric Field

You will need to bring:

• Yoga mat
• Water to stay hydrated (we will provide H20, but recommend bringing a water bottle to eliminate unnecessary waste)
• Eye mask or scarf for the breathwork journey
• A hoodie and/or blanket to accommodate for your body's temperature changes (optional)
• 2 palm stones/rocks that fit into your hands for breathwork (optional)
• Please keep in mind that for the ecstatic dance, we will need to move our belongings to the sides of the room once we begin this portion.
